Continuous Enrollment Policy changed to Continuous Registration Policy with new requirements. Please read below.
Effective July 1, 2014 the number of semesters for the Continuous Registration Policy have changed. For an official leave of absence (SAR filed) you will no longer have the option to take three (3) LOA’s in a row. The new policy will only allow for two (2) consecutive leave of absence request. After the second LOA if you do not register you will be administratively withdrawn from the college. For an unofficial leave of absence (no SAR on file) you will no longer have the option to take two (2) LOA’s in a row. The new policy will only allow for one (1) unofficial LOA. After the first LOA if you do not register you will be administratively withdrawn from the college. Please refer to the new policy below.
If you have not registered for the summer 2014 semester and have not filed an SAR you will be required to register for the fall 2014 semester or be administratively withdrawn. To avoid this please file an SAR for the summer semester.
Continuous Registration Policy
It is college policy that students be continuously registered in their academic program until the completion of all degree requirements. Exceptions to this policy are in the case of students who are on an official leave of absence (LOA) which can extend for a period of no more than two (2) consecutive semesters unless special permission is received by the VP Academic Affairs, usually for extraordinary circumstances. Students who are in violation of the Continuous Registration policy are subject to administrative withdrawal from the college by the registrar if no enrollment occurs after one (1) semester. Students who wish to appeal this decision may do so to the VP of Academic Affairs.
